Interview Tips
Small changes make a big difference. Use this checklist to show up calm, clear, and prepared.
Do a warm-up question
Learn STAR Method
The 15-minute pre-interview routine
1. Read the role requirements and pick 2 strengths to emphasize.
2. Review 3 STAR stories (leadership, conflict, impact).
3. Say your 30-second intro out loud once.
4. Do 1 Rapid Practice question to warm up.
Most people over-prepare content and under-prepare delivery. The warm-up fixes that.
Quick setup
- Camera at eye level
- Light facing you
- Notes near the top of the screen
- Water nearby
If you enable camera coaching, setup affects stability.
During the interview
- Ask one clarifying question before answering.
- Start with your main point, then details.
- Use short pauses instead of filler words.
- End with an outcome or next step.
A strong opener: “My approach is…”
A strong closer: “The result was…, and I learned…”
After the interview
- Write down 3 questions you got and how you answered.
- Pick one answer to improve and re-answer it once.
- Save the question so you can revisit it.
Progress comes from review. Use Session History to see patterns and fix them.
